Valparaiso redshirt junior guard Brandon Wood (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo [Highland C.C./Southern Illinois]) announced Wednesday his intent to declare for the 2011 NBA Draft.  Wood will not hire an agent, thereby retaining his final season of eligibility should he withdraw his name from the draft prior to the May 8 NCAA-instituted draft withdrawl deadline.

“In talking with Brandon and his family, we have all agreed that the next step to help Brandon accomplish his goal of playing professionally is to submit his name for this year's draft,” said Crusader head coach Homer Drew.  “We are all working together to assist him throughout this process.”
