For the fourth time this season, freshman Alec Peters (Washington, Ill./Washington) has been named the Horizon League men's basketball Freshman of the Week.
Peters started the week by tying for team-high honors with 11 points and five rebounds at Green Bay. Then on Saturday, Peters stepped up with his biggest game in league play, scoring 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including five 3-pointers, as the Crusaders defeated Youngstown State. Peters, who scored 14 of his points in the second half, also grabbed six rebounds against the Penguins and matched his career best with three steals as well.
Peters and the Crusaders have two games in store this week to close out the regular season, starting with a Tuesday night battle at Wright State.
