Men’s Basketball Promotional Schedule, Ticket Packs Announced

The raising of the Horizon League Championship and NCAA Tournament banners from last season, a number of giveaways and a season-long celebration of 100 years of intercollegiate athletics at Valparaiso University highlight the Crusaders’ men’s basketball promotional schedule for the 2015-16 campaign. In addition, the ticket office will be offering a three-game pack and a five-game pack for sale, beginning on October 14.

Valpo will be unveiling the trio of banners from last season’s record-setting squad prior to its regular season home opener against IPFW on Nov. 13. Two days later, the first 1,000 fans will receive free t-shirts as the Crusaders take on Iona. Nov. 18 will be the first of eight Crusader Classic nights over the course of the season, as the athletic department celebrates 100 years of intercollegiate competition. Each night (Nov. 18, 19; Jan. 14, 16, 28; Feb. 11, 13, 21) will feature special in-game content celebrating the highlights of Valpo Athletics over the designated time frame.

The first 500 fans through the doors Dec. 3 as Valpo faces Belmont will receive free Valpo winter hats, while the Dec. 19 game against Missouri State will be Kids Night, with children receiving Crusader in Training t-shirts. The Jan. 2 game versus UIC has been designated Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Night.

Jan. 16 against Green Bay will be 90’s Night, with a free t-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans to arrive. Two weeks later versus Youngstown State, the Crusaders will be celebrating the legacy of one of the great basketball movies of all time on Space Jam Night. Hall of Fame Night will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 against Wright State, while Feb. 19 will be Superhero Night. The Crusaders will close out the home regular season slate by honoring their senior class on Senior Night as they take on Detroit on Feb. 21.

The Gold Pack and the Crusader Pack will go on sale from the Valpo Ticket Office on October 14. The Gold Plan, which will cost $69 for chairback seats and $25 for bleacher seats, features a trio of non-league contests – Iona (Nov. 15), Belmont (Dec. 3) and Missouri State (Dec. 19). The Crusader Plan, which will cost $120 for chairbacks and $45 for bleachers, consists of five games – Belmont (Dec. 3), Green Bay (Jan. 16), Cleveland State (Jan. 28), Oakland (Feb. 19) and Detroit (Feb. 21).
