The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will have three Horizon League games in the upcoming season broadcast nationally on American Sports Network, as the league announced its package with ASN on Wednesday. The games will be available locally on CSN Chicago, and join the previously announced group of six ESPN broadcasts.
Valpo’s home game on Saturday, Jan. 2 against UIC, featuring a special tip time of 1 p.m., opens up the Horizon League slate and will be the first of the three Crusader games on ASN. The Crusaders will also have a pair of road games broadcast as well: Sunday, Jan. 10 at Detroit (2 p.m. CT) and Sunday, Jan. 24 at Northern Kentucky (noon CT).
This is the second year that the Horizon League and ASN have partnered to provide supplemental national television coverage of Horizon League basketball. The games will be available on affiliates in the Horizon League markets, as well as other affiliates and/or regional sports networks nationwide. A full list of stations broadcasting each game will be available in the days leading up to the games.
