Crusaders Place Pair on NABC Honors Court
Jubril Adekoya was one of the Crusaders' two honorees.

The Valparaiso University men’s basketball team was represented by a pair of players on the 2015-16 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, as both Jubril Adekoya (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) and Alec Peters (Washington, Ill./Washington) were honored for their work in the classroom.

To be named to the NABC Honors Court, players must be a junior or a senior academically, must have been enrolled at their current school for at least one full academic year and must carry at least a 3.20 GPA.

Peters closed the spring 2016 semester with a 3.417 cumulative GPA, while Adekoya owns a 3.330 cumulative GPA – both as sports management majors. Both Adekoya and Peters earned Horizon League Academic Honor Roll mention last year as well, along with graduate students Vashil Fernandez and E. Victor Nickerson, while Peters was also a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District V selection.
