Arch Madness Bracket Announced

The Missouri Valley Conference officially revealed the bracket for this week’s 2020 men’s basketball tournament at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis early Sunday morning.

Valpo (16-15, 9-9) will face off with Evansville (9-22, 0-18) in a first-round Arch Madness matchup on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. CT on the MVC TV Network. In the Chicago TV market including Northwest Indiana, the game will air live on NBC Sports Chicago. It will also air on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Indiana and FOX Sports Kansas City. For those outside of the aforementioned TV markets, the game will be available on ESPN+. The ESPN+ broadcast will be blacked out in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Broadcasters John Rooney (play-by-play), Rich Zvosec (analyst), Scott Warmann (host) and Tom Ackerman (sideline) will be on the call of Thursday’s game.

The winner of Valpo and Evansville will advance to take on Loyola (21-10, 13-5) on Friday at 6 p.m. on the MVC TV Network. Friday’s game will be shown on tape delay on NBC Sports Chicago, so the ESPN+ broadcast will not be blacked out in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. Mitch Holthus (play-by-play) and Kevin Lehman (analyst) will call the action along with Warmann (host) and Ackerman (sideline).

The winner of that quarterfinal would advance to play at 5 p.m. on Saturday in a nationally-televised semifinal on CBS Sports Network with Tom McCarthy (play-by-play), Bob Wenzel (analyst) and John Schriffen (sideline) on the call. The MVC Championship will be televised coast to coast on CBS on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Dan Bonner (analyst) and Schriffen (sideline).

As always, all games will air on WVUR 95.1 FM Valparaiso and online via the TuneIn Radio app with Todd Ickow’s hometown call. Links to live coverage will be available on ValpoAthletics.com.
