Brad Winters Named All-America Scholar in Men’s Golf
Brad Winters was named an All-America Scholar.

Valparaiso University golfer Brad Winters (Elgin, Ill./Saint Edward H.S.) has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for Division I for his efforts on the course and in the classroom.

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) honored a total of 146 Division I players who were juniors or seniors academically, participated in at least 70 percent of his team’s competitive rounds during the season, and had a stroke average of 76.0 or below during the 2011-2012 season.

Winters, afifth-year senior to be for the Crusaders, averaged 75.83 over 24 rounds for the Brown and Gold last season, second best on the team.  He carded a season-low round of 70, and turned in a pair of top-10 finishes on the year.

In the classroom, Winters is a finance and accounting double major.
