Men’s golf adds Nick Seitz
Nick Seitz signed a National Letter of Intent to golf at Valparaiso beginning in the fall of 2013.

Valparaiso golf coach David Gring has announced that Nick Seitz has signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf for the Crusaders beginning in the fall of 2013.

Seitz, a native of Xenia, Ohio, carries a USGA handicap of +1and has a weighted grade point average of 4.6 at Carroll High School. He serves as Vice President of the National Honor Society.

"I'm impressed with the balance that Nick shows in his life,” Gring said. “Besides spending a tremendous amount of time working on his golf game, Nick has participated in numerous extra-curricular activities and is very active in his community. He is a great fit with our golf program."

Seitz, a four-time letter winner and Most Valuable Player at Carroll, was Low Medalist at the Ohio High School Sectionals in both 2011 and 2012. During his senior season, Seitz was named Greater Catholic League Player of the Year as well as Player of the Year by the Dayton Daily News. He has a 2012 Plantation Tour victory to go along with a Southern Ohio PGA win in 2011.

"Nick is a strong player out of Ohio, with tremendous competitive experience and results,” said Gring. “He has shown a wonderful ability to excel on the golf course with his tournament victories and in the classroom with an inspiring high school resume."
