The Crusaders surpassed IUPUI on the final day and defeated the Jaguars by 15 strokes.  Bowling Green won the tournament shooting 850 (+10) for three rounds.

Mike Hesselman (Janesville, Wis./Edgerton H.S.) shot the lowest round by a Crusader this season, a 71 (+1), to finish in a tie for 13th place overall, finishing at 218 (+8).

“Mike played really solid all day long,” head coach Mike Higdon said following the tournament.  “It was great for him to finish in the top-15.”

Bowling Green’s Drew Preston won the tournament at one-under par 209.

“As a team we had our best round of the tournament,” Higdon added.  “Now we have to be ready to go on Sunday.”

Valpo has added an 18-hole dual match on Sunday afternoon beginning at 12:30 p.m. against Chicago State at The Course at Aberdeen.
