Valparaiso University’s Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East H.S.) has been named the Horizon League’s Golfer of the Week for his efforts at the Beu Mussatto Invitational held in Macomb, Ill.

Henning finished in a tie for 18^th place overall with a three round total of eight-over par 224.  The Crusader sophomore opened with rounds of 75 and 77 on Monday before firing an even par round of 72 in Tuesday’s final round.

As a team Valpo finished in10th place at the tournament hosted by Western Illinois with a 929 total, improving the team score in each of the three rounds.

For the year Henning leads Valpo with a 74.3 stroke average, playing 16 rounds of golf.

Henning and the Crusaders will return to action April 14-15 at the Wolfpack Spring Open in Raleigh, N.C. hosted by North Carolina State.
