The Raise Your Sights award winners have been announced for the 2016-17 season. The honor is given annually to the best sport teams academically and is based on combined grade point average (GPA) from the current academic year. The award recognizes the top academic male and female team from each Horizon League institution.

The Valparaiso University men's golf and women's tennis teams were honored for their success in the classroom. The men's golf team, which finished the 2015-2016 season with the highest team GPA of any men's golf team in the nation, continued its academic success with a 3.63 team GPA this year, the highest of any men's team in any sport in the Horizon League. The women's tennis squad finished the year with a 3.71 team GPA.
