Men's Soccer Team Announces Season-Long Food Drive
Thursday, September 22, 2005
The Valparaiso University men's soccer team will be collecting non-perishable food items at all home matches this year as part of a season-long drive in support of local food banks.

Donations can be made at Eastgate Field before, during and after every home match, beginning this Saturday at 12:00 p.m. against UMKC. The food is being collected in an effort to feed hungry families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

In conjunction with the food donations, Head Coach Mis' Mrak will be donating $10 to food banks for each Crusader goal scored this season. Mrak is asking for matching donations from fans within the community in support of this cause.

There are seven home matches remaining on the Crusaders' schedule, including three against clubs in the Mid-Continent Conference and a season-ending match against Michigan State.
