Valparaiso University head men’s soccer coach Mike Avery announced today the dates for the 2009 VIP soccer camp.  The 2009 VIP, held on the campus of Valparaiso University, is a soccer camp for high school age players with serious aspirations to improve their soccer skills.  Session I will be held from June 15-17, with Session II scheduled from July 17-19.

An alternative to the customary summer soccer camp experience, the 2009 Valpo Soccer VIP offers the dedicated high school soccer athlete a focused curriculum designed to assist them as they develop their skills.  Valpo Soccer VIP players will be exposed to technical and tactical training presented by current collegiate head and assistant coaches.

Each Valpo Soccer VIP participant will be provided with immediate feedback, presented both in written form and in individual counseling sessions with the coaching staff.  Valpo Soccer VIPs will further attend seminars and discussion groups that cover a variety of topics related to life as a collegiate athlete, personal development, sport psychology and the college search process.

The VIP curriculum is designed to encourage those high school players who are serious about developing their set of soccer skills.  Space in the 2009 Valpo Soccer VIP is limited to ensure that each player receives individual attention to his particular college search and is provide with immediate feedback before leaving the campus.
