Off to one of the best starts in program history, the Valparaiso men's soccer team finds itself ranked 10^th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Great Lakes region rankings.

The Crusaders entered the regional rankings following the team's win over then-#24 Michigan State and remained in 10^th position after their thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over IUPUI last week. It marks the first time Valpo has earned a regional ranking since Oct. 31, 2011, near the end of the Crusaders' Horizon League regular season championship season.

With the win over the Jaguars last Friday, Valpo improved to 2-0-3 on the season, the Crusaders' second-longest undefeated start to begin a season in program history. Only the 2010 team, which went 5-0-1 in its first six games, went farther into a season without enduring a loss.

The Crusaders will look to continue their season-opening unbeaten streak as they travel to face their second top-25 foe of the season on Friday, as Valpo will take on #18/15 Tulsa Friday evening.
