VUMSO Schedule Change; Fifth Annual TOCO Benefit Match

The date for the Crusaders’ Horizon League home game against UIC has been changed to Friday, October 25th.  UIC will travel to Valparaiso to play an important league match at Brown Field.  Kickoff will remain scheduled for 7 p.m.  The match will be the Crusaders’ fifth Horizon League match and third home match of the season.   Like all league games, the match vs. UIC will carry plenty of significance as the Crusaders look to capture their second Horizon League title.

This match will also mark the fifth annual TOCO benefit match hosted by the Valparaiso men’s soccer program.  TOCO (They Often Cry Outreach) is a U.S. based not-for-profit organization founded by internationally renowned artist Taj Weekes, a native of St. Lucia.  The mission of the organization is to improve the lives of underprivileged and at-risk children in the Caribbean through sports, health, and other enrichment programs.  All donations collected at the game on Friday, October 25th will be put toward purchasing bicycles for TOCO’s annual toy drive, which benefits underprivileged children in St. Lucia.
