With the Valparaiso men’s soccer program’s annual St. Baldrick’s fundraiser upcoming this Saturday, April 12, supporters of the cause will also have the chance to cheer on both the Crusader men’s soccer and volleyball teams in spring action that day as well.
The men’s soccer team will be taking on St. Joseph’s College at Eastgate Field at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Then, after the head-shaving fundraiser is complete (runs from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. in Hilltop Gym), the Crusaders will face Benedictine on Brown Field at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, the Crusader volleyball team – fresh off a spring win last week over Notre Dame - will face off against Western Michigan at 1:45 p.m., Butler at 2:45 p.m. and Eastern Michigan at 3:45 p.m. in the arena.
The games add to a busy Saturday in Valparaiso athletics. Women’s golf is hosting the Crusader/Jaguar Challenge at The Course at Aberdeen, softball and baseball are both hosting Horizon League home games and the women’s soccer team will take on the Haitian National Team Saturday night. Donation boxes will be available at all events to allow fans to contribute to the St. Baldrick’s cause.
