Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Doug Elgin has named 10 student-athletes State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award recipients for the 2017 fall season. Valparaiso University men’s soccer senior Jacob Keck was among those honored as the conference announced the winners on Thursday.

During his four-year career at Valpo, the impact Keck made went beyond the playing field. Academically, he plans to attend medical school and owns a 3.124 cumulative grade point average.

Keck, a team captain this season, has served the community through charitable causes including They Often Cry Outreach, St. Baldrick’s and #OneValpo. In addition, he is the men’s soccer Student-Athletic Advisory Committee representative.

On the field, Keck played in all 18 games this season and finished with one goal and one assist.
