Crusader Swim Schedule Sees Variety in 2005-2006

Valparaiso University swim coach Bryan Morrison has announced his 2005-2006 schedule and has put together a line-up that will have his Crusaders competing in a variety of meets, including several invitationals, a couple of dual meets, and several double-dual competitions.

The season kicks off on October 7 in Notre Dame, Ind. at that Dennis Stark Relays. The event is made up entirely of relay events.

The dual meet season begins on October 21 as the Crusaders head to Xavier (Ohio). Two days later, Valpo will take part in a four-team dual meet at Butler competing with the host Bulldogs along with Saint Louis and Evansville.

The Eastern Illinois Invitational will be held over two days on November 4 and 5 before the Crusaders head to Wisconsin the following weekend. November 12 Valpo swims Wisconsin-Green Bay and will compete in a double-dual at Wisconsin-Milwaukee with South Dakota State the next day.

Two more invitationals will close out the 2005 calendar year for the Crusaders. The Ball State Invitational will be contested November 18 and 19 while the House of Champions Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. will take place two weeks later.

Valparaiso will start 2006 at Illinois-Chicago in dual meet action on January 7 before hosting Eastern Illinois on January 21 in the lone home action at the Athletics-Recreation Center on the season.

The season comes to a close February 16-18 at the Mid-Continent Conference Championships in Indianapolis.

Morrison returns 14 men and eight women from last years squads that finished fifth and third respectively in the Mid-Con last season.
