Valparaiso University’s Kurtis Malone (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) has been named the Horizon League’s Diver of the Week for his efforts last weekend against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He won the one-meter event on Saturday against the Panthers with a score of 232.20, the top mark in the conference for the week.

The sophomore becomes the first Crusader to earn Diver of the Week honors since Valpo joined the Horizon League.

Malone and the Crusaders will return to action on December 4 at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool when they host the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  The meet begins at 5 p.m.
