Valpo Wins Six Events but is Defeated by Milwaukee
David Sivak won three events against Milwaukee.

Six event victories, including three by David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) were not quite enough for the Valparaiso men as the Crusaders dropped a home meet to Milwaukee 128.5-85.5 on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool.

The Crusaders started the day in triumphant fashion edging out the Panthers in the 400 medley relay.  Kyle Verage (Hubertus, Wis./Marquette H.S.), Trevor Trimpe (Connersville, Ind./Connersville H.S.), Ansel Hillmer (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough H.S.), and Victor Sikorski (Valparaiso, Ind./Wheeler H.S.) finished in a time of 3:38.83.

Sivak won the 200 freestyle by more than three seconds with a time of 1:46.56, the first of his three events on the day.  He also cruised to victory in the 100 free in 48.16 seconds.  The sophomore finished his day with a time of 1:01.93 in the 100 breaststroke to capture his third event of the day.

Sikorski was victorious in the 50 free with a time of 21.66 seconds for the Brown and Gold as well while Kurtis Malone (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) won the one-meter diving with a score of 232.20.

Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington H.S.) earned a second place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:21.32 while also finishing runner-up in the 500 free, touching the wall in 4:59.38.

Valparaiso (0-5) will continue its three-meet homestand on December 4 hosting Green Bay at the ARC in a 5 p.m. meet.
