Valpo men’s swimming freshman Jackson Oostman (Aurora, Ill./Marmion Academy) repeated as the MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week following his performance last weekend at Green Bay.

In a dual meet against the Phoenix, Oostman took top honors in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 1:00.53. He also posted a runner-up finish in the 100 free with a time of 48.38. In addition, Oostman led off both of Valpo’s relays — the 200 medley and the 800 free.

Oostman is one of only two Valpo men’s swimmers to earn multiple Swimmer of the Week nods in the same season in the last 15 years, joining Dominic May. Oostman and the rest of his teammates return to action next week at the A3 Performance Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois.
