Joe North joins the Valpo swimming coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2020-21 season after a four-year career as a swimmer for the Brown and Gold.

A versatile swimmer, North competed in free, fly, back and IM events during his time at Valpo. As a junior, he ranked as the team's fastest swimmer in the 200 fly, while as a senior, he posted the sixth-fastest time in program history in the 100 IM.

A standout in the classroom as well, North was a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll during his time as a student.
