Valparaiso dropped a road meet at Cleveland State 142-78 on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Crusaders posted just one event victory on the afternoon, as David Peterson (Schererville, Ind./Highland H.S.) notched a win in the 200 backstroke. His time of 2:01.41 edged the Vikings by .02 seconds.
The sophomore also posted one of two runner-up finishes for the Brown and Gold. His time of 2:11.84 in the 200 breaststroke was 2.58 seconds off of the pace.
Jeff Lange (Woodbridge, Conn./Amity Regional H.S.) notched the other second place finish for the Crusaders. He turned in a time of 10:36.39 in the 1000 freestyle.
Valpo (2-6) will conclude its dual meet season next Sunday, February 6, in Indianapolis, Ind. The Crusaders will compete in a double dual against both Butler and Saint Louis.
