Valparaiso's men dropped a 140-61 dual meet to Illinois-Chicago on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool.
The Flames took home first place honors in all 13 events on the way to the victory.
Travers Smith (Huntley, Ill./Huntley H.S.) turned in a runner-up finish in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:00.50, while also finishing second in the 100 backstroke in 55.18 seconds.
Bob Pedersen (Urbana, Ill./Urbana H.S.) was second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.53 seconds for the Crusaders, while David Peterson (Schererville, Ind./Highland H.S.) earned Valpo's only other second place effort with a mark of 1:01.26 in the 100 breaststroke.
Valpo (2-3) will return to the water next Sunday to conclude the home portion of the schedule as the Crusaders host Wisconsin-Green Bay beginning at 2 p.m.
