Elizabeth DeRenne is entering her second season as an assistant swimming and diving coach for the Crusaders.

The Valparaiso, Ind. native swam for four seasons with the Crusaders, and is a member of the school record-holding 800 freestyle relay team (8:00.0).

DeRenne also holds the second fastest time in Valpo history in both the 100 backstroke (59.02) and the 200 back (2:12.29).  She was a four-time All Mid-Continent Conference performer for the Crusaders during her stay with the Brown and Gold.

She graduated from Valpo in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in history and geography and is now working on a master's degree in education at Valparaiso University.
