Adair Coventry joined the Valparaiso University swimming and diving staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2007-2008 season.
She helps with all aspects of the Crusader program, including workouts on the deck and in recruiting.
Coventry swam at Millikin University for four seasons where she was a team captain from 2002-2004. She finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 200 breast in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2000. She also finished in the top-12 in both the 100 and 200 breast and the 50 and 100 freestyle during the 2004 season.
As a freshman in 2000, Coventry was named Millikin’s Most Outstanding Swimmer.
Coventry was a swim instructor at Millikin from 1997-2003 and she also served as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Sun N’Fun and the Country Club of Decatur in Illinois from 1999-2002. She also was a pre-team swim coach for the Decatur swim club for the 2000-2001 season.
A 2004 graduate of Millikin with a degree in communications, Coventry is currently working on her master’s degree in sports administration at Valparaiso. Her son Alexander was born in July, 2008.
