2011-2012: Competed in freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke during freshman season ... posted personal bests in 100 (1:05.11) and 200 (2:29.92) breast at the Horizon League Championships ... also competed in 50 (24.08) and 100 (53.54) free ... clocked in at 1:03.38 in 100 butterfly ... posted a career best 2:08.44 in the 200 IM at the Horizon League Championships.

Prep: A four-year letterwinner for the Redskins ... a four-time All-Independent Conference selection ... placed third in the league in the 50 freestyle senior year … led 400 freestyle relay to set the school’s record as a freshman … named an Illinois State Scholar … also competed in cross country, football, and track.

Personal: Patrick is the son of Tim and Kathleen Sandness … major is engineering … born February 2, 1993.
