Valparaiso University freshman Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) was defeated in his second round match of qualifying at the ITA Omni Regional Championships on Friday morning in East Lansing, Mich.

Kooyers dropped a 6-0, 6-3 decision to second-seeded Eric Langenkamp of Notre Dame to finish his fall season with a 4-4 singles record.
