Valparaiso's men's tennis team was swept 7-0 by Northern Illinois on Saturday afternoon in DeKalb, Ill.

The Crusaders, playing one short, dropped a pair of doubles matches to fall behind early. The Huskies then swept all five singles matches in straight sets, plus earned a point for the default to complete the sweep. Jeff Vrabel (Allen Park, Mich./St. Francis Cabrini H.S.) was involved in Valpo's tightest match, falling 6-4, 7-6 (5) at third singles.

Valparaiso (2-9) will try to snap its five-match losing skid on Saturday when the Crusaders travel to Milwaukee, Wis. to battle Marquette. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
