Valparaiso University's Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) has been named the final Mid-Continent Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the fall season.

The freshman won his opening round match at the ITA Midwest Regional last weekend. He posted a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 victory over Paul Glendenning of Illinois-Chicago, before falling to Eric Langenkamp of Notre Dame. Langenkamp advanced into the final draw.

Kooyers was the third Crusader to earn the honor this fall, as Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) and Jay Adams (Detroit, Mich./Andover H.S.) also earned the award.
