Valpo Men Picked Second in Preseason Tennis Poll

The Valparaiso University men's tennis team has been picked to finish in second place in the Mid-Continent Conference according to the annual preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.

Head coach Jim Daugherty's squad is coming off of a third place finish in the Mid-Con last season after posting a 3-1-1 league mark. The Brown and Gold dropped a semifinal match to IUPUI in the conference tournament.

Oral Roberts, the defending conference tournament and regular season champions were picked to repeat this season, while IUPUI was selected third. UMKC, Western Illinois, Centenary, and Chicago State round out the preseason poll.
