Valparaiso University's David Bukowski (Mount Prospect, Ill./Prospect H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week after guiding the Brown and Gold to victories over Dayton and Wisconsin-Green Bay over the weekend.

The junior won both of his singles matches at the fifth spot in the lineup, tallying straight set victories against both the Flyers and the Phoenix. Bukowski has now won five of his last seven singles matches, all in straight sets.

In doubles play, Bukowski teamed with Mike Wagner (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer H.S.) for a pair of wins over the weekend as well, both at second doubles.

The Crusaders (5-8) will face IPFW on Wednesday afternoon at the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex before heading to Tulsa, Okla. to begin Mid-Con action this weekend.
