Valpo Doubles Team Defeated at ITA Regional Championships

The fall men's tennis season came to a close on Friday evening as the lone Valparaiso doubles team dropped its first round match of the main draw at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.

The duo of Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) and Joe Venegas (Saint Charles, Ill./North H.S.) fell 8-2 to the tournament's 13th seed, Matko Maravic and George Navas of Michigan.

The Crusaders will return to the courts to open the spring season on February 2 when Valpo travels to DePaul.
