Valpo Drops Second Straight Decision to Ranked Foe

For the second straight day Valparaiso faced a nationally ranked opponent and suffered the same outcome, falling 7-0 to #56 Western Michigan on Saturday morning in Kalamazoo, Mich.

The Broncos started quick, winning all three doubles matches, allowing no more than two games per match.

Alex Lau (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson Senior H.S.) went three sets for the Crusaders at fifth singles before falling 6-3, 3-6, 10-4. Western Michigan (2-3) won each of the other five matches in straight sets.

David Bukowski (Mount Prospect, Ill./Prospect H.S.) dropped another close match, 6-4, 7-5 at the third spot.

Valparaiso (0-2) will return to action next Saturday morning as the Crusaders battle Ball State in Muncie, Ind. with first serve set for 10 a.m.
