Valpo Announces Men's 2010 Spring Tennis Schedule

Valparaiso University head tennis coach Jim Daugherty has announced his 2010 spring schedule which will consist of one tournament and 18 dual matches.

The Crusaders will open the spring January 16-17 at the Purdue Invitational before beginning dual match play a week later at Ball State.  Four more matches on the season-opening road trip will see Valpo face Dayton, Western Michigan, IUPUI, and Toledo.

Valpo returns to Northwest Indiana for a home match against Bradley at Matchpoint in Griffith on February 19 before leaving for its spring trip to Orlando, Fla. in early March.  While in the Sunshine State, the Crusaders will face Creighton, Boston University, Fairfield, and Monmouth.

Upon returning north the Crusaders will begin their seven-match Horizon League slate in Wisconsin against Green Bay on March 20 before heading to Detroit a week later.  The home opener at the Valpo Tennis Complex is set for April 2 to begin a season-ending six-match homestand.  The Crusaders will close the regular season April 18 against Butler before heading to the Horizon
