Schorsch, Emhardt Crack ITA Preseason National Rankings

The junior doubles tandem of Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) and Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) received the 55th spot nationally in Tuesday's Preseason Men's Doubles Rankings as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Schorsch and Emhardt set a program record for doubles wins last year as part of their superb 30-5 season. Playing the entire season atop the doubles lineup, the pair suffered just one loss over their last 17 matches. 2015 represents the second straight season that they have been recognized in the ITA preseason survey.

Schorsch, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year, also appeared in the Preseason Men's Singles Rankings, coming in at No. 119. He compiled a 28-7 record in singles play in 2014-15 and enters the 2015-16 season needing 15 singles victories to become Valpo's all-time winningest singles player.
