Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) earned Horizon League Player of the Week accolades Tuesday after he was victorious atop both singles and doubles play versus Northern Kentucky last Saturday.

The junior teamed up with Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) to overthrow NKU's Nick Lang/Jody Maginley, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles at The Courts of NWI. Schorsch later knocked off Mate Virag at No. 1 singles by a score of 6-4, 6-3.

Valpo collected a 6-1 victory over Northern Kentucky in the match, scoring a win in its first Horizon League tilt of the 2016 spring calendar.

The Crusaders (15-5, 1-0 Horizon) will face the defending champion Green Bay Phoenix this Saturday in Wisconsin. First serve is set for 12:00 pm CT.
