Schorsch Finishes ITA on High Note
Jeffrey Schorsch finished the Men's ITA All-American Championships with a win on Tuesday.

Valparaiso University men’s tennis senior Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio / Perrysburg) closed out the ITA Men’s All-American Championships in style on Tuesday, capturing a victory in the qualifying consolation bracket.

How It Happened

  • After suffering a three-set loss to Old Dominion’s Adam Moundir on Monday, Schorsch bounced back to end the tournament in winning fashion.
  • Schorsch needed only two sets to dispatch Stanford freshman Sameer Kumar on Tuesday. He cruised to a 6-2 win in the opening set, then held on for a 6-4 triumph in Set 2.
  • This marks the conclusion of Valpo's competition in the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. The competing Crusaders are traveling back to Valpo on Tuesday evening. 

Next Up

The Oracle/ITA Masters will be held in Malibu, Calif. from Oct. 13-16 with Schorsch slated to represent Valpo. In addition, the Crusader Indoor Invitational will take place at the Courts of NWI from Oct. 14-16.
