Four Crusaders Earn Academic All-League Accolade

Chris Stohs was one of four Crusaders to earn Academic All-League honors.
The Valparaiso track and field teams had four athletes honored as part of the Horizon League’s Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-League squads for the 2008 campaign.  Rachael Button (Farmington Hills, Mich./Farmington) represented the Crusader women, while Steve Bartholomew (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township), Chris Honig (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South [Indiana]) and Chris Stohs (Shawnee, Kan./Shawnee Mission North) all earned spots on the men’s side....Full Story

Bartholomew, Honig Compete at NCAA Mideast Regional

Steve Bartholomew recorded two top-20 finishes Saturday.

Another School Record Falls as Crusaders Close Out Horizon League Outdoor Championships

Philip Lohrmann set a new school record in the pole vault Friday.
Philip Lohrmann (Battle Ground, Wash./Battle Ground [Clark C.C.]) set a new school record in the pole vault Friday in Youngstown, Ohio as the Valparaiso men’s track and field team concluded the Horizon League Outdoor Championships in seventh place.  Steve Bartholomew (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) was named the Championships’ Outstanding Field Performer, replicating his honor from the Indoor Championships, after winning both the discus throw and hammer throw Thursday....Full Story

Three Event Victories Put Valpo in Second Place After Day One of Horizon League Championships
