Bartholomew Places Fourth in Hammer Throw

Steve Bartholomew (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) posted a season-best mark in the hammer throw Friday at the Miami Team Challenge in Oxford, Ohio as the Valparaiso men’s track and field squad kicked off competition at the two-day meet.

Bartholomew registered a distance of 185’5”, good for fourth place in the event.  He was joined in the top-15 by Erik Lindamood (Bealeton, Va./Liberty), who finished 12th with a mark of 142’2”, and Chris Stohs (Shawnee, Kan./Shawnee Mission North), who tallied a distance of 140’6” for a 14th-place showing.

The Crusaders continue at the meet Saturday morning, as the first events are slated to begin at 10 a.m. CDT.
