Kowaleski, Bradford lead Valpo men at Mike Lints Alumni Open
Nick Kowaleski placed third in the 60-meter dash at the Mike Lints Alumni Open.

Nick Kowaleski (Lockbourne, Ohio/Grove City) and Wally Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) each recorded a top-three finish to lead the Crusader men’s track team at the Mike Lints Alumni Open at Grand Valley State University.

Kowaleski advanced to the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.13 seconds and then bettered that in the final, finishing in 7.03 seconds to take third. He also finished 10th in the 200-meter dash, with a mark of 22.71 seconds.

Bradford placed second in the one-mile run, crossing the line with a time of 4:16.82.

David Rutkowski (Cedarburg, Wis./Living Word Lutheran) (15:53.23) and Matthew Przybyla (Whitmore Lake, Mich./Pinckney) (15:54.67) finished sixth and eighth respectively in the 5000-meter run.

Andrew Rixon (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) finished ninth in the shot put with a distance of 45’ 6 ½”.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the IPFW Quadrangular in Fort Wayne, Ind.
