Blume Finishes Fourth in Steeple at Big Ten Preview

Valparaiso University's Matt Blume (Logansport, Ind./Pioneer H.S.) finished in fourth place in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday evening at the Big Ten Preview Invitational held in West Lafayette, Ind.

The senior turned in a season's best time of 9:38.46, just 8.70 behind the winner, Eduardo Borjon from Loyola (Ill.).

The rest of the Crusaders will compete in the Puma Invitational on Saturday morning in Rensselaer, Ind. beginning at 10 a.m.
