Brett Maynard (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) represented the Valparaiso men’s track and field squad Friday at the NCAA Mideast Regional, contested in Louisville, Ky., by competing in the javelin throw.

Maynard qualified for the regional meet by virtue of his event victory in the javelin earlier this month at the Horizon League Championships.  The fifth-year senior registered a toss of 170’11” on Friday, good for 26th place.
