Bradford, Rehm record season-best for Valpo men at Meyo, YSU
Wally Bradford set a season-best mark in the one-mile run at the Meyo Invitational.

Wally Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) set a season-best in the one-mile run at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., while Barrett Rehm (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) tied a season-best in the pole vault at the YSU National Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio for the Valparaiso men’s track teams on Saturday.

Bradford posted a time of 4:14.90, which was almost two seconds faster than his previous best time in the mile this season.

Rehm tied his season-best by clearing 13’1 ½” to finish eighth.

Also at the YSU National Invitational, a pair of Crusaders claimed top-10 finishes in the high jump. Elijah Owen (LaPorte, Ind./LaPorte) finished tied for seventh, clearing 5’8 ¾”. Peter Rufo (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) also cleared 5’8 ¾”, but he had one more miss, so he came in ninth.

The Crusaders scored 2.50 points and finished eighth as a team.

Valparaiso returns to the track on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Chicagoland Championships in Naperville, Ill.
