Earlier this week, Valparaiso track & field head coach Ryan Moore announced the Crusaders’ schedule for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.

The Crusaders’ indoor season kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 7^th at the Mastodon Opener, hosted by IPFW at the Athletic Center Fieldhouse. The Crusaders will take the rest of December off, and continue their indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 11^th with a meet at Hillsdale College. The Crusaders then have six straight weekends of competition, highlighted with meets hosted by Grand Valley State (twice), IPFW, Carthage College, Notre Dame (twice), Indiana Wesleyan, and Purdue.

The Crusaders will have a full week to prepare for the Horizon League Indoor Championships held at Youngstown State on Saturday, March 1^st and Sunday, March 2^nd. The NCAA Indoor National Championships will be held in Albuquerque, N.M. on Friday, March 14^th and Saturday, March 15^th.

Outdoor competition begins on Saturday, March 22^nd at the Puma Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph’s College. The Texas Relays, held in Austin, Texas, highlight the Crusaders’ outdoor slate. The remainder of Valpo’s outdoor schedule includes meets hosted by Purdue, DePauw, and Miami (Ohio). These meets build toward the Horizon League Outdoor Championships held in Youngstown, Ohio. This year, the league championships will begin on Friday, May 2^nd, and conclude on Sunday, May 4^th.  The NCAA Outdoor Championships will be held in Eugene, Oregon and begin on Wednesday, June 11^th.
