The Valparaiso University track and field squads will host the 2016 Horizon League Outdoor Championships at the Warren G. Hoger Track, one of two home meets for the Crusaders as they announced their 2015-16 schedule today.
The indoor schedule, which got under way last Friday at Grand Valley State, features multiple meets at GVSU, as well as meets at IPFW (Jan. 23), the University of Chicago (Feb. 6) and Milwaukee (Feb. 19). Some of the Crusaders’ top performers could also head to Notre Dame’s Meyo Invitational (Feb. 5-6) or the Alex Wilson Invitational (Feb. 20), as well as Arkansas’ Tyson Invitational (Feb. 12-13). The Horizon League Indoor Championships will be contested Feb. 27-28 and hosted by Youngstown State.
The outdoor schedule kicks off Mar. 19 at Saint Louis and also includes meets at Indiana State (Apr. 9), DePaul (Apr. 16) and Louisville (Apr. 23), as well as the possibility of sending athletes to North Carolina State’s Raleigh Relays (Mar. 26-27) or the Drake Invitational (Apr. 28). Valpo will host the second annual Crusader Open on Saturday, Apr. 30 before welcoming the other six Horizon League squads to Valparaiso for the league outdoor championship meet May 6-8.
