The Valparaiso University men’s track & field team has released its outdoor schedule for the 2021 spring season.

Valpo will begin the outdoor slate on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 at the Bill Cornell Invite hosted by Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill. The team will then host a home dual meet on Friday, March 26 vs. Loyola beginning at 10 a.m. at Warren G. Hoger Track.

Valpo will continue the outdoor slate on Friday, April 9 at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill, before the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind. occurs on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17.

The Brown & Gold will host a home meet on Saturday, May 1 at Warren G. Hoger Track. Teams interested in entering the field for Valpo’s May 1 home meet should contact Valpo head coach Ryan Moore at Ryan.Moore@valpo.edu or 219-464-6118.

Valpo will head back to Terre Haute on Friday, May 7 for Indiana State’s Pacesetter Sports Invitational before the team makes its second voyage to Carbondale of the season on May 14-16 as Southern Illinois hosts the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.

Valpo competed in five meets during the indoor season, which culminated with the MVC Indoor Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Distance runner Dominic Paoletti (Monroe, Mich. / Monroe St. Mary) placed third at indoor conference in the 5000-meter run, earning all-conference honors in the process. In addition, fellow distance runner Eric Carothers (Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern) was an all-conference performer at the MVC Cross Country Championships in Evansville on March 3 by virtue of his top-10 finish.
