2010: Saw action in the long and triple jumps during both the indoor and outdoor seasons … placed sixth or higher in the triple jump at six different indoor meets with a runner-up performance at the Boilermaker Invitational … entered Crusaders’ all-time records at the Horizon League Indoor Championships with a triple jump of 45’0¼” for the fourth-best indoor jump and a fifth place finish … logged program’s fourth longest outdoor triple jump at 45’9” while competing at the Miami Invitational … earned five top-five finishes in triple jump during the outdoor campaign … recorded new career-highs in the long jump of 19’4¾” (indoors) and 19’1½” (outdoors) … member of Horizon League Academic Honor Roll both semesters.

2009: Mainly saw action in the jumps for the Crusaders as a sophomore ... posted top-ten finishes in each of his eight efforts in the triple jump  ... won the triple jump at the Boilermaker Invitational indoors with a leap of 41’9 ¾” ... posted a career-best indoor mark in the triple jump of 42’4" at the Horizon League Championships ... set a new career best in the triple jump outdoors of 44’2 ¾” at the Stan Lyons Invitational, just shy of Valpo’s all-time top-five ... also recorded career bests in the long jump of 17’0 ¾” (indoors) and 18’1 ½” (outdoors) ... earned Academic All-Horizon League honors during both indoor and outdoor seasons ... member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll both semesters.

2008: Ranked among Valpo’s top jumpers during freshman campaign ... posted top leaps indoors of 16’9 3/4” in the long jump (Redbird Open) and 41’2 1/2” in the triple jump (HL Championships) ... registered top distances outdoors of 17’10 3/4” in the long jump (HL Championships) and 42’0” in the triple jump (Butler Twilight).

Prep: A two-year letterwinner for the Redwings ... earned All-Conference recognition in the triple jump in 2007 ... also earned two letters in football ... a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Steve is the son of Bill Schubert ... major is civil engineering ... named to Valpo’s Dean’s List ... born June 20, 1989.
