2019: The pole vaulter had his best indoor mark of the season on Feb. 1 at the Meyo Invitational, clearing 14-7¼ (4.45m). Had his best javelin throw during the outdoor season of 124-3 on April 6 at Gibson Invitational. Saw his best outdoor pole vault of 13-1½ on April 27 at Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational.

2018: Finished third on Dec. 1 at the Blue & Gold Invite at Notre Dame. This jump of 14-11 was his season-best…At the Crusader Invite on April 28, he threw a season-best javelin throw of 135.2 which landed him third place…Placed fourth in the javelin throw with a 133.1 mark at the Redbird Invitational April 14.

2017: Season best indoor pole vault of 14-3.5 occurred on Feb. 26... Had the top outdoor mark of his career on April 22, clearing the bar at 14-6.25, the fifth-best mark in program history. 

2016: A pole vaulter for Valparaiso, cleared the bar at 14’11” this indoor season, the program’s third best result ever…for outdoor, he holds the school’s fifth-best mark with a 14’5 1/2" effort this year in the event.

Prep: Three-year letter winner for the Indians…sectional, regional and state qualifier…team MVP…Elite Indian award recipient...three letters in football.

Personal: Son of Jamie and Ron Block…major is biology.
