2023 (Track & Field): Did not compete… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2022: Led the team in the indoor 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.12 seconds... Led the team in four different events during the outdoor slate – the 400 (55.24), the 110 hurdles (15.91), the long jump (5.84 meters) and the decathlon (5,212)... Also boasted a PR in the 200 at the MVC Indoor Championships by clocking a time of 24.41... Part of an outdoor 4x400m relay that turned in a time of 3:21.97 that ranked fifth in program history... His decathlon score of 5,212 ranked fifth in program history.

Prep: Lettered all four years in track & field, qualifying for regionals in four events as a senior (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, 4x400)… Won best mental attitude as a senior… Sectional champion in the 100 hurdles as a senior… Conference runner-up in 100 hurdles and high jump as a senior… Won the Ken “Zip” Sypult Mental Attitude Award as a senior… Also competed in four years of football (varsity as a junior and senior)… Was a captain of the football team as a junior and senior, earned best mental attitude as a senior and achieved first-team all-conference that season… First-team academic all-conference in football and track as a senior.

Personal: Majoring in nursing… Son of Debbie and Eric Hanson… His birthday falls on Halloween… Hobbies include fishing.
